WebVan, which has since gone out of business, had a great idea with online grocery shopping and grocery deliveries right to your home. Despite the demise of the original company, other companies conduct online grocery shopping, even some of the large grocery chains.
What do you think about online grocery shopping now? Are you aware if it's available in your area? What would make you use it?|||I've never used it. I know people that have and I haven't heard any complaints. The only thing that troubles me is the personal selection of fruits, veggies, meat and milk. Those are things that I want to be in charge of, not someone else. What looks fresh to one person, may not look fresh to you.|||I've looked at these companies, and they seem to have pretty high prices to cover their delivery costs.
Because of that, I wouldn't touch them. Maybe if I was a shut-in.
--%26gt;Adam|||i think that it not the best cause you might pay even more then usual|||If you were unable to shop at the store it might work if you know exactly what you want. I'm not sure that it would work for veg-meat items.
I live in a rural area so cost would be a serious problem. I doubt that rural people would use it (10 miles from city and store).|||I love to shop online for lots of things
like clothes, dry cleaners, diamond rings...
but as for groceries, I've never known
about food that can be so easily shown
and bought without a trip to the store...
what will they think of next? Forever more!
I like to get out to shop and compare
brands and bargains and then I share
my good prices and great coupons
oh,... "pardon me, do you have any grey poupon?"
So, I doubt if I will ever totally shop online,
Super Walmart is still my favorite checkout line!
