What vacation spot can I find luxury shopping as well as beach activities?

Trying to find a destination for my family who unfortunately have varying interests - my mom likes expensive shopping, my dad likes snorkelling. Expensive shopping ie: Chanel, LV, Fendi, etc.

Any chance such a place exists?

Thanks!|||Aruba has a high-end mall (Gucci, LV, Ferragamo) and lots of snorkeling (as well as other activities).|||Beaches/beach areas in Florida and/or California, USA. Renowned for high-end shopping as well as sun and fun.|||How about the French, Italian or Spanish Riviera?|||hey,

How much knowledge of Physics and Chemistry should workers building a shopping mall know?

I am writing a data table of 5 different jobs that would be needed in building and furnishing a shopping mall. I chose retail land developer, real estate agent, lawyer, architect, and interior designer. I have to also write how much knowledge of physics and chemistry should each worker know. Please help me, thank you!|||in real life, none of those professions need any physics or chemistry background.

land developer sees a piece of farmland in the path of future city expansion. Works with banks to finance the purchase of the land. Develops an overall plan for land, shopping center, neighborhood, etc. Hires civil engineers to assess drainage and utilities and elevations etc that meet local codes. Goes to the local government to change the zoning. Hires a general contractor to prep the land according to the civil engineering specs, builds roads, parking lots. Then maybe hires an architect to design commercial buildings etc and hires other contractors to build the buildings. no chemistry. no physics background.

real estate agents simply find property that people want to sell, and market the property to potential buyers. No chemistry. no physics

attorneys. Come on. the only attorneys that need a background in chemistry or physics are patent attorneys. And even that is a bit sketchy. Most attorneys practice dui and divorce law. meaning they read the codes, know the courtroom proceedings, know the judges and prosecutors and cut deals. the ones involved in a shopping center will know general contract law, liability law, etc.

architects. are basically artists. They design the appearance of the building, stamp the drawings, and approve the final completed project. They are responsible for ingress and egress but that's about it. The structural design part is always farmed out to civil engineers.

interior designer. they pick out colors and textures for rooms, furniture and curtains.

***********

now. the jobs that would need chemistry and physics backgrounds to build a shopping mall are these.

the structural engineering guys. The civil engineers who design the support columns, roof, walls, foundations, stairs, supporting structure for elevators, floors, etc in compliance with local codes. like earthquake design codes. etc.

The mechanical engineering guys. Who design the pumping system and distribution for fire protection, potable water systems, wastewater systems, etc.

The electrical engineers. The guys who figure out how much power the building needs and designs power distribution. an MCC/electrical room. motor control and electrical. This guys plan out the electrical circuits, breaker panels, transformers, etc.

And the project manager. The chief engineer in charge of all the engineering tasks and construction. This person is usually a mechanical or chemical engineer.

At what stage of your pregnancy did you start shopping for your baby?

I'm 20 weeks and still haven't got a thing for my baby. In my country baby shower happens two weeks after the baby is born. This means the mom to be actually has to buy important stuff for her baby. I feel like its too early for me to start shopping, or as soon as I start shopping something could go wrong. I'm being this paranoid due to my previous multiple miscarriages. Anyways do u think its ok for me to shop now, when did you do yours? Thanks|||I started shopping after I knew the sex of the baby, you don't want to wait until the last minute and scrambling to get everything you need. Whatever you buy just keep all the receipts and know the return policy in case something does happen to the baby. Just hope for the best and try not to worry. Good luck with everything|||I bought a few small things at 6 weeks like a couple of unisex outfits. The rest I wanted to hold off on until 12 weeks. My Mil though was visiting at around 9 weeks and she wanted to help us. So we put a cot, change table and dresser on lay-by. We didn't pick up the furniture until 36 weeks though. She actually bought a pram for us as soon as my husband told her I was pregnant at 6 weeks! My husband's aunt bought us a carseat at the same time. Everything else we bought throughout the pregnancy.

I did feel a little paranoid about buying things so soon but even my previous miscarriages couldn't stop my excitement.|||Since you have to buy big things, I would start looking now. I don't know if the country you are in has children's resale stores or consignment or yard sales, but those are great places to start for the big things (Except car seats. These should always be purchased new because they must be replaced after accidents and expiration, and you wouldn't be sure of the history). I kept my eye out for great deals on convenience items and big items (crib, play gyms, bouncers, etc). People tend to like to gift the 'cute' things (clothes, washclothes) at showers, whether you register or not.|||Oh some cultures do not accept a baby until it arrives as fact and some cultures consider the baby's birthday the day of conception. It's totally subjective. Some cultures find it very threatening to plan on something as having happened when it hasn't actually happened and bad luck. It's just up to you.

Yeah if you want to invite friends from the US just have one of your friends run a baby shower for you.

If you want to invite relatives and friends from your home country then wait.

As for me, I'm from the US and we have baby showers here. If there is a miscarriage think of your friends as being there to support you so you don't have to do it alone. It's all up to you though. There is no shame in miscarrying. It's not like it's your fault. No matter what the problem is, it wasn't your decision to have a miscarriage. So I hope you remember that.

Peace and luck.|||With my first I waited until 35 weeks and went baby crazy. With my second, I was more laid back and got a few brand new things a couple weeks before I was due. But I wasn't going to have any more children after my second and gave everything away, now I'm due with my third and started getting all the basics for super cheap or next to free at around 24 weeks after I found out the gender.

I think it would be fine to start to shop, just keep a eye on sales for the main things like car seats and cribs.|||I felt the same as you. Form me it was not until 33-34 weeks and I refused 2 showers. I have had three miscarriages and most of this pregnancy I have bleed and cramped. After my baby was born my doctor and I cried and held each other and she said she thought I was going to loose this one too. That is why I waited so very long to shop. Good luck. I hope you have a miracle baby too!|||I started buying things after I knew the sex of the baby..so about the same time you are now. I had a baby shower when I was 34 weeks pregnant and got a ton of diapers and clothes and it's a good thing I bought the big things myself because nobody got me anything but diapers and clothes.|||my case was simular to yours. My baby is almost 4 weeks old and my baby shower is n 2 weeks. I was scared to buy things as well due to 2 misscarrages but once i hit 20 week and had my ultrasound seen that he was a boy is when i started to shop.|||I started buying things when I found out I was pregnant (the big things anyway) like a stroller and a crib etc. I am sure at this point you are fine to buy things for the baby. Best of luck in everything. And positive thoughts of a healthy baby!|||We didn't buy much until after we found out the sex of the baby. I bought a few things here and there before that but after we found out she was a girl, we started buying girly things. : )|||I started at 23 weeks, there was the crib that we wanted for less then 200$ on sale so e bought it and put it up when my baby was 6 weeks old|||I started as soon as I found out the gender with both of my pregnancies but just didn't take tags off things til later on

What is it that guys look for in a serious cloths shopping experience?

When you are out to do a bit of cloths shopping, what is it do you look for? Anything from the customer service you expect, to the items you want to find in the store, to the overall decor of the place. Please feel free to put as much input in as possible and optionally include how you would best describe your clothing style as well as where your from. I would really appreciate the help guys!|||When straight guys go clothes shopping, they just want to do it as fast as they can so they can get back to eating/playing video games/masturbating.|||I like to shop in places that are a little classier that sell suits, ties, dress shirts, etc. As for customer services, usually since i'm a little younger then other people going into those shops i feel like i'm not taken seriously and thus the customer service isn't as helpful or they don't even bother to ask "is there anything that you are looking for?" in a casual wear outside, I either wear athletic wear or something like a short sleaved dress shirt with a sweater vest or something. i like Asics, but its a very hard brand to find actual atheltic wear|||I always look for a good selection of graphic tees, both long sleeve and short. Long sleeves can be just plain balck because i usually wear a long sleeve tee with a short sleeve overtop. Also, I'm very interested in black dress shirts with some sort of design on them - so it's kinda classy i guess but casual at the same time.

Have any of you started your Christmas Shopping yet?

I know it's only August but Christmas is only a few months away! That is soooo hard to believe! My husband thinks I am crazy for already starting my Christmas shopping- actually I started 2 months ago:-) - but what do you think? When do you start your holiday shopping? Are you planning on spending less or more this season?|||In a way, I guess it's better to start your Christmas shopping now. You avoid the huge, aggressive crowds (lol) and it will save you time (and money, for not spending like 3 months pay check all at once in December) later on.

But I kind of like shopping closer to Christmas time. Stores are playing your favorite Christmas songs while you shop :) And you get to watch the snow fall outside (if it happens to be snowing at the time, haha).|||4 years Ago I actually put some Toys on Layaway for my son for Christmas. I don't think it's weird to start your Christmas shopping right now. I say it's Actually Smart, specially with the Economy right now..

Where is the best shopping area in Paris?

Im planning a trip to Paris around December time, and have no idea which area/ region I should stay in!?

Its mainly for shopping so does anyone know where I can get a mix of designer stores like armani, jimmy choo ect, then just affordable high street store and the occasional market/ boutiques.|||While looking online, I came across this website. I hope this helps with your vacation.

http://www.discoverfrance.net/France/Par鈥?/a>

Have Fun!|||I wouldn't stay in this area, because it's quite expensive, but the best shopping area is on the Champs-脡lys茅es, which is in the eighth arrondissement. I recommend staying in the Latin Quarter, or in the Marais, as both areas are very central to most Paris locations.

Some other good shopping locations are Rue St Honor茅 and Rue du Faubourg St Honor茅, as well as Rue Cler (a funkier outdoor marketplace near the Eiffel Tower).|||Jimmy Choo is off of Madeline stop and in Paris you CAN get Chanel and Dior, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy here at 7/8 Arriondrossiment.

http://www.parisnet.com/parismap.html

You can also take the RER A train to Val d'Europe for the outlets and get LongChamps, Ralph Lauren and more at much cheaper prices. La Madeline is where the pricey things are. (on the Metro Stop Purple 14 -Balard) http://mappery.com/maps/Paris-Metro-Map.鈥?/a>

How much money will I need to go dress shopping?

I'm getting Confirmed in the Catholic Church this year and my sponser and I would like to go dress shopping on Saturday after the Confirmation Retreat. Our evening will consist of this:

Dress Shopping

Dinner

A little more dress shopping

Ice Cream

My dress budget is $75.00

About how much money do you think I'll need?|||Well if you have 75 for a dress you will probably need about 5 dollars for ice cream and for dinner it depends where you eat, if it's somewhere like a diner you will probably only need 10 - 15 dollars, but if it's somewhere nicer probably more. If it get's too expensive you could always eat before you go out, so that way you don't have to spend money on dinner as well.|||a dress like 50 dollors. get it on sale.|||maybe it's enough.

What are the best shopping sites online?

I love shopping online, but I'm not sure which one is the fastest or most reliable. I'm in to manga, music and gaming.|||Amazon is the best site to go to not only because they have the best prices that you can't beat, but also because they have an awesome selection of things you can buy and wonderful service. They have pretty much everything imaginable that you can buy on amazon.com, and they even sell things that they don't sell in stores anymore. Amazon is the best website for buying electronics. If you're buying clothes like shoes, go to places like shoemall.com. They have some of the best deals on shoes. You might also want to consider going to the manufacturer's website if you're buying clothes or shoes. Nike.com is a great place for buying Nike shoes, and so is Champs.com and Footlocker.com if you're looking for some really nice shoes at an affordable price. Kohl's.com has great dress shoes, leather coats, and plenty of nice clothes for men and women online for a very good price, and Nordstroms.com has some of the best quality clothing you can get online for a very good price. If you're looking to get a good big electronic device that's used or new such as a good price for a grand piano, craigslist.com is a good site and more reliable than ebay. I one time I bought a Baldwin Grand Piano Howard Edition from Craigslist.com for just a little over $8,000. It was the best deal I could find online, especially because it was a new piano. My personal favorite for buying things is amazon.com because I'm into music and gaming too, and they sell a lot of great music and games on amazon.com for very good and affordable prices. Hope I helped!

Maxwell|||I get most things from amazon, simply because they've only once failed to deliver and they sent it again without charge 2 days later.

If it's something expensive I always compare prices though.|||AMAZON IS EFFING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Do I need to pay tax when shopping online at amazon ?

I want to buy a laptop at amazon. Do I need to pay tax ? The last time I shop online was so long I don't remember if I paid tax or not.

Also how is tax rules apply to online shopping.

Thanks for your answers|||It depends if you live in the same state as where Amazon operates. For example if you live in Washington state, Amazon will collect state sales tax.

If a company does not collect taxes you are suppose to report the purchase and pay the taxes yourself.

Legally you are suppose to pay the taxes but Amazon only collects sales taxes from the states they operate in ie WA, NY, ND. Since you are in CA Amazon will not collect taxes. You as are suppose to go through the hassle and pay the sales tax to your bankrupt state...share the wealth ;)|||I believe your question about taxes have been answered.

However since you are into online shopping there is a system called Shop it To Me.

Its powered by company that's partnered with 90% of the clothing retail stores. Its simple all you do is sign up, select the brands that you are interested in, select your shoe, dress, pants, shirt, belt sizes and they send you an email notifying you of any current sales that match your preferences.

The great part about this is...for every 10 friends you tell about it and they register they email you a $10.00 gift card for stores like Old navy , Gap Banana Republic, Macy's , just to name a few.Below is my link so that you can try it out for yourself...

I doubted at first but I bought my entire summer beach wear from the gift cards i got back and i literally didn't pay a cent.

How many people have died in holiday shopping over the last couple of years?

I know this latest incident of Walmart pandemonium wasn't the first time I have heard about people getting trampled in shopping chaos. How many people in the last couple of years have been sacrificed to the cruel shopping gods?|||1 is too many. people are so stupid and cruel that they don't think twice about trampeling over someone just to save a buck. shows how materialistic we have become as a society. thats why i stay home.

What does Chicago have to offer for a fun relaxing weekend of pampering and shopping?

My friend and I are planning a Chicago Girls' Getaway Weekend in October. The plan is to have a relaxing stress free weekend of spa treatments, shopping and mostly fun without the husband and/or kids. Can anyone offer suggestions on hotels, spas, restaurants, shopping and entertainment? Thank you!!!|||If you want luxury, I would focus on the North Michigan Avenue area. The top hotels for luxury are:

The Four Seasons

The Peninsula

The Ritz-Carlton

The Swissotel

The Omni (rooftop sundecks!)

The Four Seasons and Peninsula have in-house spas, and Michael Anthony on Belmont Ave is also very nice. Any hotel in this neighborhood will put you in the middle of the nicest shopping/dining places.

Don't miss the Crate+Barrel superstore and the 900 North Michigan Shops (Oprah has a condo in this building). Water Tower Place is a high-end multi-level shopping center.

There's many restaurants in this part of the city. Bistro 110 (next to the old Water Tower) is as close to authentic French as you'll get.

Smith and Wolensky on the river (next to House of Blues) is a New York-style steak house that's one of the best in the city. You can go to the lounge on the 95th floor of the Hancock Bldg. (875 N Michigan) and have champagne and strawberries, and have the same view as the Observatory, without paying the entrance fee.

For musical theater, you'll have to do downtown to the Theater District. "Jersey Boys" and "Mary Poppins" are the big shows now. Make sure you swing by Millenium Park on south Michigan Ave. to take your picture in front of the "big bean" sculpture with your image reflected against the city skyline. On Wed. and Sats. you can see fireworks at 10:00 out on Navy Pier, a "touristy place", but worth it for the photo ops and people watching.

A nice, relaxing thing to do is take one of the boat rides along the Chicago River run by the Chicago Architecture Foundation.|||http://www.girlsguidetotheworld.com/dest鈥?/a>

What are some online shopping sites for teens?

I'm 14, and I'm looking for some back to school clothes. I live In a little city, I've been to all the stores, and I kind of want something new. What are some online shopping websites that target or have teen clothes?|||I'm 18 and I shop online a lot and my personal favorites are Karmaloop and Plndr. They're the cheapest places online for nice name brand clothes that I've found, like I've gotten $20 jeans, $15 sweatshirts and even $15 shoes. Plndr is members-only and is quite a bit cheaper but has less of a selection.

You can get up to an extra 20% off at both stores if you use repcode: STAPLER|||Xoxo Juniors Printed One Shoulder Dress is great choice to get. This dress is One shoulder dress. This dress would be perfect for almost any occasion - paired with nice heels for a night out or flats and a sweater for something more causal.

Can you tell me now to select mild flavored onions when shopping?

We often end up with onions which are way too strong flavored, but occasionally we get mild ones by accident. When shopping for onions, Is there a way to identify mild flavored ones?|||So called 'sweet' or mild onions are usually identified by their shape which is slightly flattened rather than being round.|||buy sweet onions or vidalia onions. Leeks have a mild onoin flavor too.|||There are a lot of different varieties to choose from. Walla Walla Sweet are quite mild and grown in my home state. They look like a yellow onion and it's easy to mistake the two for each other. Vidalia and Spanish mild are also good. Yellow onions are a little milder than white onions and I think red is somewhere between the two. The mildest in that family is the leek, which looks like an overgrown spring/green onion.

How was your experience shopping at a Dooney & Bourke outlet store? Are the merchandise and deals any good?

I am wondering about the Dooney OUTLET stores, not the regular retail stores. In particular, has anyone been to the Dooney outlets at Carlsbad, CA or Las Vegas, Nevada? How was your shopping experience?|||i have been to the dooney%26amp;burke outlet in california, and its amazing. its like the regular dooney%26amp; burke, but an outlet. the deals are amazing. outlets always have amazing deals. like, at juicy couture, a jacket is regularly 119 but i got it for 49 at the outlet. and at the coach outlet, i got a purse for 30 when it was originally 74. so outlets have the same quality, but the prices are so much better. hope that helps, and good luck!

What is appropriate to wear when shopping for wedding dresses?

I'm going wedding dress shopping for the first time next weekend and don't know what is acceptable and appropriate to wear to the bridal salons to shop in.|||People make so many assumptions/judgements about a person based on his/her attire. Honestly, the sales staff will spend more attention to you if you look nice. They'll assume that you're serious, that you're a lady, and that you have money to spend. On the other hand, if you put on airs, you could make them assume you're really wealthy and that you're ready to drop 10k on a dress on the spot. I personally wouldn't go out and buy anything new, but don't show up in butt crack jeans and a beer t-shirt either.

Definitely wear something that's going to be easy to take on and off all day. Not too many layers. When I went, I wore khaki shorts, a button-down shirt, and flip flops. Clean, pressed, and simple.

It's important to bring the shoes and undergarments (bra, corset, panties, slip, hoop skirt, etc.) that you'll be wearing with your dress when you go to a fitting, but that's not for a while. The bridal salon will let you borrow corsets and slips from them.|||You should wear something comfortable and nice. Don't show up in sweats. But maybe a nice pair of jeans and a top. Or maybe even slacks. If you already have something you know for sure you will be wearing for the wedding (shoes or veil) make sure to bring those along as well. I suggest you wear a strapless bra and bring a slip just in case they do not provide one at the shop. Also, if they will allow it, bring a camera so you can take pics of the dresses to show to other friends that may not go with you when you go shopping so you can get opinions. And don't forget to bring some water! It could be a lot of work trying on those dresses!|||As far as attire wear something you would normally wear to go shopping for a dress of any kind since really that is all you're doing. There really is no dress code at the bridal salon. Keep in mind though you may go through several bridal salon's before you find *the* dress so don't worry as much about what you wear to them. I just wore pants and a nice top to one, and another jeans and a nice top the same thing I would wear when I was shopping any place else.

You may want to wear undergarments similar to what you would wear for a wedding dress though like your bra, slip, etc.|||I would wear a simple dress, one that is easy to take on and off. And shoes that are easy to slide on and off.

I wouldn't hesitate to wear make up - I couldn't imagine going out in public without it, and who on earth wants to look at themselves in those mirrors without make up. I am sure that if you are old enough to get married, you are old enough to be careful taking the dresses on and off without getting make up on them. If something does happen, the store will be able to handle it.

Wear a decent bra and decent underwear (not braless, not a thong) - no one wants to help you get dressed if you're nearly naked.|||You can dress casual, it doesn't really matter how you look but make sure to bring a strapless bra and your wedding shoes, if you have chosen them. Most brides choose the dress first and then their shoes, so the bridal shop will have heels you can put on while you model the gowns.|||For starters, don't wear make up, you don't want to transfer anything from your face to a gown :)

I suggest something that's east to get in and out of :)|||If possible, wear undergarments similar to the ones you will wear on the day of the wedding, and similar shoes.|||Something really easy to take off and on. Not lots of buttons etc. Shoes should perhaps be about the same height as you plan for the wedding.|||Hello Tracy!

My Suggestion what ever you wear remember one thing not to be confuse yourself.

What time during the weekdays do adults do their grocerie shopping?

I'm selling stuff for scouts and I want to know what are the TIMES during the weekdays that adults go do their grocery shopping.|||Usually after work. 5-7 pm.|||Most go Saturday and Sunday mornings between 10 and 2.

Weekdays, most don't go to shop they go to pic up a few things and don't want to be bothered but 5-7.|||After work, 5-6 pm|||The worst time for me to go to the store (meaning busy) is any day of the week between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The busiest I've seen are weekdays around the noon hours with people either waking up or on lunch break, and after 4-5 p.m. when people get off work. On weekends, it's iffy, but morning are busy too since people are buying stuff to grill and get an all day party started.|||My mom usually goes shopping on Wednesdays when she gets paid. Sometimes she would also go on sundays and saturdays. Since your selling stuff you should sell on friday. Because on Fridays every one like to go places and it is crowded. Cheers.|||well i am not sure of this.. i think asp.net will be a better option as the growing sites like http://www.wwhow.com/ uses this and they are doing well so this can be a better option :)|||Use ASP.NET which is secured and very much user friendly.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?

I am about to start my christmas shopping in a few weeks..I think its easier to start buying now than to try to come up with all the money the week before..lol when do you start christmas shopping?|||I really need to start mine asap...I am going to start probably next weekend! I am thinking about next year starting right after christmas..that way I have all year to get gifts!!|||I make my lists for the boys early but i never get to shop until Black Friday and thereafter.

Last year I got almost everyone on Black Friday which was awesome.

In November 2007, I had Riley 8 weeks early. We were in %26amp; out of the NICU visiting him everyday so I never got to shop. The NICU called me Christmas Eve day and i asked if I wanted to bring him home (he was already there 4 weeks) and i said "I will be there in a few hours, I have to finish my Christmas shopping!" Once I brought him home, I knew I wouldnt be going ANYWHERE so I had to get it done quickly before we went to pick him up!

Bringing him home Christmas Eve was the BEST Christmas present we've ever received (well, it's tied with having Tyler the week before so we were home for Christmas when he wasn't due until after Christmas)|||Usually I am an 'after Thanksgiving' person. We have a big family party on Thanksgiving and that is the start of the Christmas season for me. I have a hard time shopping beforehand...it seems wrong to me! But this year I will have to rethink my plan, I am due between Oct 31st and Nov 11th (new due date/old due date) and it might be a little harder to run around and do my shopping with a 3-yo, a 15m-o, and a newborn. So I might need to start much sooner this year! Good for you for starting early. It is better for the wallet for sure. PS: I have an Ethan too :)|||I haven't gone shopping yet with the sole intent of buying Christmas presents, but I have picked up a few things already that I saw when I was out and thought they would be perfect. My daughter just had a birthday, so I picked up a couple things for her for Christmas, as well as something for my sister. I usually start in late Nov., early Dec., but as I get older I feel better getting some done earlier. Especially for my daughter, cuz she's the easiest to shop for!|||I read once that when you buy a birthday gift to buy an extra gift for that person, because you are thinking about them at that moment, then when Christmas comes you will have your shopping done. I tried it one year and it was great, having everyone a gift for Christmas without the major cash lay out at Christmas. I used my closet to hide the gifts when they were small. As they got older I started using the trunk in the car to hide the gifts. They never looked there. Let me be the first to wish every one a Merry Christmas, 4 months from today, 122 days. Yikes!|||All year to be honest haha.

I mean I'll see something and I'll be like ermm so and so would love that, and buy it for their Christmas present and this could be like May. But seriously, even though I have only have my husband and 12 yr old daughter, the rest of my family is huge. And then there are the friends. I have to start buying way early.|||I start the moment our Christmas club funds come in. This is usually the first week of October. We usually finish up on Black Friday. I have been getting it done asap since I was pregnant with the twins(doc said if I went into labor after Thanksgiving I would be delivered) and find it so much easier.|||I don't think I ever STOP Christmas shopping... If I see something for anybody, I buy it. I give it to them for their birthday or Christmas, whichever is sooner.

The bulk of my Christmas shopping I do Thanksgiving weekend. Since before I was in high school, we have a tradition where the ladies spend a weekend at the outlets (North Conway, NH) and shop til we drop.|||I started in late July. Last year around Christmas I was having a baby, moving and I lost a great deal of money due to bad investments so I didn't have a very good Christmas for my 6 year old. This year I decided to make up for it and i've been getting each kid 2 gifts a month for Christmas and in December i'm going to buy the rest.|||Well if I'm out shopping in the fall and I see something that I want to get for them, then I'll grab it, but I really don't like to do any Christmas shopping until it's just about Christmas time. The reason for this is because I have a very sneaky 4 year old who can and will find hidden presents.|||I've already started, lol. Whenever I'm out and I see something that one of the kids would like, I pick it up and put it away for Christmas.

That way, I'm already done weeks before Christmas, and not have to deal with tons of people in a store and possibly not finding what I'm looking for.|||i dont start until black friday i think they rush the holidays way to much espically christmas and i dont want anything to do with christmas until black friday

But I usually start about now at the latest. I have already bought some Christmas presents for my husband and my youngest daughter. When I see something I know they want and it's a good deal, I buy it and hide it.|||I normally get somethings in September,October and the beginning of November. But, I start my major shopping on Black Friday(day after thanksgiving) I wake up bright and early and get about 70 % of my shopping done on just that one day!|||My husband and I were just talking about this earlier. We are going to start this weekend. My side of the family only buys for the children and his side buys for everyone. Its easier to start early for his side of the family. :)|||Black Friday. We save money, scout out the sales and do 90% of our shopping the day after Thanksgiving. The other 10% is usually gift cards to send to family who don't live close.|||We start picking up things here and there in october, but we do a lot of it at the last minute plus we both get a bonus around that time so it helps.|||The day after Christmas; can't beat some of the sales. We spread it out over the year, less pressure and it makes things easier on the wallet. Bought quite a few things this past weekend.|||I want to start a few months ago. lol But i want to do the same thing. I have 3 girls... so i need to. Start now. We all should.|||I normally start in November. I start saving money earlier, but I don't do the actual shopping until closer to Christmas.|||I start really shopping around in early october, but if I see something good at anytime of the year I buy it and save it for christmas.|||2nd week of December :) I shop better under pressure....always have, always will! I also get a holiday bonus at that time, so I have some money.|||I dealy you start right after christmas when everything is marked down 90% but who has money after christmas.|||In the January sales - then all through the year when I see a good bargain or hear someone mention something they would like. It certainly spreads the load.|||Whenever I think of a good gift for a particular person. It could be very early or very late. Depends on when I have that inspiration.|||All year around. Whenever I go by a store and I know a friend or relative may like it for a birthday or christmas I buy them it.|||Decemeber 1st - Decemeber 19th|||Normally between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. We will have a newborn at that time this year so I've already started.|||December 24th LOL|||usually about two day before christmas|||Christmas eve and man oh man does it piss the wife off.

What are some sites which gives you information on how to add a shopping cart to your website?

I am currently developing a website but I do not know how to add a shopping cart to the website. Could you tell me or give me websites which tell how to add shopping cart to website (if possible free). I have also heard that some hosting sites offer this could you give tell me how you would go about setting this up if an company is hosting your site.|||There's not clear cut answer for this. It really depends on how and with what system your website is built on.

It's not the hosting companies that actually offer the shopping cart, it's the ecommerce system's they offer that have shopping carts included. For instance, hosting provider's like Godaddy and Hostgater have quick installs for ecom systems like ZenCart, OScommerce, and alike. These are ecommerce systems that come with shopping carts, but you still need to set them up. Magento is also another smart free system that is built for ecommerce.

Other ecommerce systems like Yahoo Small Business Solutions also called Yahoo Stores, come with shopping carts.

What is the benefits of online shopping?

Seems online shopping is more and more populare now, well, can someone introduce me what is the benefits of online shopping?|||Benefits of online shopping

1.Bargaining power of consumers. They enjoy a wider choice

2.Supplier power. It is more difficult for consumers to manage a non-digital channel.

3.Internet increases commoditisation

4.Threat of new entrants. Online means it is easier to introduce new services with lower over-heads

What company mystery does mystery shopping for JcPenny?

I want to find a mystery shopping company that gives shops for big department stores like JcPenny and Macy's. I do a lot of mystery shopping and I'm signed up for many sites but I have not found one that gives shops for department stores. Does anyone know a legit one? I will check the BBB so please don't give me scam ones.

And I do not work for a department store. I know I can't mystery shop places I work for.|||Companies like that dont usually use one specific agency, they will call local agencies if they are having problems at a local store. They also use their own employees to mystery shop at other branches. I worked for one big retailer that never used outside mystery shopping companies, we just sent employees, usually managers, from one region to travel to another region for a few days an mystery shop the stores there.

Look in your phone book for market research firms as big companies will work with Market Research companies who do more than mystery shop, but will also provide them with statistical research on the overall business and competitive market|||I think you might be able to find it at www.mysteryshops.webs.com

How many reusable shopping bags should I buy?

I'm not sure how much one bag fits. How many do you have? We usually go shopping once a month to buy everything we need then a few times to buy produce, water, and snacks.|||Reusable bag hold the same amount as the plastic ones do, so count how many bag you use on your monthly trip and replace them with reusable ones.

our grocery store sells them for 99 cents a piece, and then gives a 5 cent rebate every time you use the reusable ones.|||We have 10, but shop on a weekly basis. If you are doing monthly, you would probably need close to 20.|||depending on how much u actually but in a months time i would base on how many reusable bags to buy on how many plastic bags u usually come home with but don't get that many because reusable bags are usually a little bit bigger than plastic bags and not everything has to be in a bag(like ur milk and laundry detergent)|||Marissa,

We have reusable shopping bags, however, we started several years ago using dinghy bags.

Living aboard our boat presented us with several problems and solutions. Since we did not want to bring aboard various pests that lay their eggs in cardboard and paper bags, we started using what we called dinghy bags, actually canvass bags that we could schlep our groceries from the store to our boat. They use to be sold only in marine stores that catered to the cruising boaters. Now, they are more readily available.

These bags will carry about 5 times what one would put into a normal plastic bag from the store. They do come in various sizes, we have about 6 of them.|||probably around 10.|||Try a few at first and if you end up using plastic bags then get more. really it depends on how much you buy.|||If you go shopping once a month you will probably need several. If I know I'm buying a lot of cold or frozen items I also bring in my rolling ice chest. I have dozens of bags that I've collected over the years, I carry a variety in both cars. I have a couple of large ones that I got at costco that are great for light boxed items, I have several that are the same shape and size of paper bags, some that are a stretchy mesh which are great for odd shaped things. I also use thin cloth with pull string top for produce. My favorite is a nylon bag I got from Safeway that folds up to about the size of a wallet, I carry one or 2 in my purse for the mall or department stores.

To decide how many you'll need, just count the number of bags you brought home last time. You can always start with a few and add to the collection over time.|||My reusable canvas bags hold about 2-3 times as much as disposables. I shop for 2 people once a week and 2 bags is typically sufficient but not always. I do tell them to leave out things like milk that don't need to be bagged. The vinyl $1 something bags by the checkout line don't hold quite as much so it depends on teh bag you chose.|||We like to support different stores that carry their own bag inexpensively, and we've been given a number of totes as volunteers, so we actually have about 8 or 9. Some in my car, some in my husband's, some around the house .... you need as many bags as works for you and your family.

Three or four in each vehicle works for us. We use paper bags for all kinds of things, like bagging up papers for recycling. So whatever we get when we don't have a reusable bag gets used, too.|||It depends on how many people you are buying for. And what type of reusable bag you buy. The canvas bags aren't stretchy, but others are so they can hold a lot more stuff than a plastic bag. I got mine from www.sexyoldbag.com, their bags are stretchy and fit about as much as you can put in 3 plastic bags. Figure the average number of plastic bags you usually use on a big shopping trip, and divide that number by 3.

What problems do parents have while shopping and pushing a pushchair?

I'm conducting some research around a product idea that would assist parents who use a pushchair/pram/buggy etc. Specifically, what issues do parent(s) face while shopping (specifically with carrier bags/shopping bags) and pushing a pushchair/pram/buggy etc?

For example, do you have problems with storing the bags on your pushchair/pram/buggy etc? What about public transport-wise?

Thanks.|||Once the small carry basket in the bottom of the pushchair is full the only place you have to hang shopping on is the handles which is functional and necessary for most pushchairs but some have a long bar instead of small handles which means there is no room for a lot of shopping.

More than anything, public transport + buggies + shopping = a big problem due to lack of space. We have the disabled area which you can store upright pushchairs but there's not a lot of room at all so the bags end up running into the space in the gangway making it difficult for passengers to manoeuvre around them in an already tight space.|||Trying to carry a basket, or push a trolley, at the same time as pushing a buggy. Trying to carry all the bags home as well as pushing the buggy.

As for public transport, it's usually ok now that the buses have specially allocated space for them, and the floor that lowers. But, if there's already 1 or 2 prams on the bus, you can't get on.|||My own bugbears are:

Carrying a supermarket basket whilst pushing a pushchair/buggy

Hanging too many bags on the handles whilst pushing a pushchair/buggy (makes the buggy topple backwards!)

Carrying items to the checkout whilst steering the buggy (very tricky!

Narrow aisles

Inconsiderate fellow shoppers and staff

Goods piled in the aisles which you can accidentally knock over with a buggy wheel|||The things with buggies is they just get in the way. You can hang things on the handle bars but as soon as the kid gets out it tips up, and there isn't enough storage space underneath.

Using public transport with a buggy is suicide. Not only do you get dirty looks from all the other cramped passengers but it's just such a hassel.

You can never win with buggies:

Too small - Not enough Storage Space

Too Big - No where to store the buggy itself plus the increased hassel of using buses etc.

I think those two aspects are the only things i really have issues with

Hope I helped x|||i dont use public transport but if i walk somewhere and put the bags on the pushchair its usually fine unless ive got a lot of bags it gets heavy so you have to constantly hold the pram just incase it tips backwards which can happen with the cheaper pushchairs so it depends which one you have (mine is a maclaren and they are good for shopping). people generally get in your way and see that you either have lots of bags on the puschair and need to get past and dont move, very few cars will stop to let you cross, but i guess that depends on a lot of things and is different for everyone, ist usually a lot harder when you have a pushchair for going out and shopping, i dont recommend piling up your shopping on the handles not only is it dangerous it can break the prams.|||When my son was smaller I had a travel system (I will post the link). It had plenty of storage underneath for several items. The only problem I ran into was when I went to the mall in every store the racks were so close together I couldn't get the stroller between them because it was so wide. It was a pain because if my son was sleeping in his stroller I could only shop the outer racks because I didn't want to take him out and wake him up.

There are no Abercrombie stores in Mexico, but you can find genuine A%26amp;F clothes in some of the street markets.|||Well, I don't know where are you from, but the expensive stuff it's still expensive even in Mexico. The others are right, Polanco is where you can find the most prestigious brands, at very high prices.

Mexico city is practically in the center of the country, so it's very close to the main touristic places in central Mexico, but if you wanna go to Cabo or Cancun, for example, you do have to take a plane, not more than a 2:30 hrs flight though.

El Palacio de Hierro

born in Mexico City|||Mexico City provides for a cosmopolitan shopping experience that runs the gamut from trinket stores to major malls. Rumor has it that the "Central de Abasto," or La Merced where most of the city's food, flowers and sundries are gathered to sell at the wholesaler level, is the largest market in the world. Perhaps, but for the purpose of knowing where to find things, you will need to know the whereabouts of four categories of stores: supermarkets, major shopping malls with department stores, boutiques, and traditional markets.

Mexico City has at least one very good mall in each section of the City. Each mall has at least one anchor chain department store. Mexico's largest are Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro, both of which carry very complete selections of clothing for men and women of all brands, gourmet shops, electronics, appliances, toys, makeup, fragrances, watches, and everything else you might expect to find in upscale department stores in the US. The rest of the stores in Mexican malls are very much like their northern North American counterparts, from Gloria Jean's gourmet coffees to music stores and Radio Shacks. They also have a huge variety of top-notch movie theaters. In the northern part of the city there's Plaza Satelite, in the west there's Santa Fe (supposedly the largest mall in Latin America), in Polanco there's Pabellon Polanco and in the south there's Perisur. There are several smaller, more up-market malls, such as Pabellon Bosques and Centro Comercial Duraznos and Centro Comercial Lilas in Bosques, and Pabellon Altavista, on the street of the same name in the south.

Boutiques

Even though there is a smattering of boutiques in several areas of the city, the largest concentration of these is on Masaryk Avenue in Polanco and on Altavista Street, in the south. Sometimes known as Mexico City's Rodeo Drive, Masaryk has everything from Bulgari to Versace, via Peugeot, Ferrari and Mercedes dealerships. It's worth a look up and down, if nothing else but to see one more contrasting aspect of the Eternal City of Contrasts. Altavista also has some wonderful silver and jewelry boutiques, as well as others, from Timberland to BMW motorcycles. The look of Altavista is a little more rustic (the surrounding area has cobblestone streets), but both are worth a visit.

How can I stop going shopping?|||I was able to break myself from overspending by not taking my wallet in with me when visited malls (I either left it in the trunk, or put it under the mat in my car). Then, if I saw something I really liked, I had to walk all the way to the car, and I'd ask myself "Is this a want or a need?". Sometimes I'd return and buy the item, but most times I did not.|||Don't stop shopping. Stop BUYING. This is easier if you leave your checkbook, all cards, and most of your cash at home. If you are not carrying any form of payment, you are less likely to spend.|||Steven is right. Your problem is "buying".

Cut up your credit cards, shop (don't buy) on line when you "need" something (not "want") take cash with you to the mall, and you can't spend more then you have.|||I put my shopping habit to work for me, and started mystery shopping. I get to shop for all sorts of things, and get paid to do so.

Sometimes I even get to buy, and my purchase price is reimbursed! I've eaten at nice restaurants for free, shopped for shoes, and even gone to a baseball game, all for just filling out a survey, and writing about my experience!

A great place to hook up with a bunch of Mystery Shop Providers is PremierShoppers.com. They even offer a free webinar series on how to be a better shopper.

Should I start my xmas shopping this weekend?

I already know what I have to buy for this christmas. However, I want to save time and money (time does not equal money) this christmas. Should I start my xmas shopping this weekend or I should wait after Thanksgiving to do the shopping?|||The best day to shop to save money is Black Friday, which is early friday morning, the day after Thanksgiving. You can get a lot of the best deals from the big stores that you have learned to trust over the internet. Call or stop by your local stores and ask about their particular black friday. You might want to use a best friend or family member's address for shipping so your family won't see the presents too early.|||Yes definitely. Its better to get it done early . Because if you wait you might not get what your supposed to . And its also better to get it done early because then by the time its getting close to Christmas you wont have to worry about shopping and you can sit back and enjoy the Christmas spirit and feeling (:

Merry Christmas|||Check the stores and see when they're having sales. Go at that time.

Usually there are black friday sales, and thanksgiving day weekend sales so try around that time.|||Yes
