I am currently developing a website but I do not know how to add a shopping cart to the website. Could you tell me or give me websites which tell how to add shopping cart to website (if possible free). I have also heard that some hosting sites offer this could you give tell me how you would go about setting this up if an company is hosting your site.|||There's not clear cut answer for this. It really depends on how and with what system your website is built on.
It's not the hosting companies that actually offer the shopping cart, it's the ecommerce system's they offer that have shopping carts included. For instance, hosting provider's like Godaddy and Hostgater have quick installs for ecom systems like ZenCart, OScommerce, and alike. These are ecommerce systems that come with shopping carts, but you still need to set them up. Magento is also another smart free system that is built for ecommerce.
Other ecommerce systems like Yahoo Small Business Solutions also called Yahoo Stores, come with shopping carts.
